Central Fire Station: A Centennial Reflection marks the 100th anniversary of the Greensboro Fire Department's transition to a fully paid, professional force in 1926—an evolution that began here at Central Fire Station.

Through historic photographs and the voices of Greensboro firefighters, the exhibit explores the culture of the firehouse: the routines, relationships, skills, traditions, and shared sense of purpose that shaped life within this building. Rather than presenting a chronological history, the exhibit invites visitors to consider the connections between generations of firefighters and the ways the work continues to carry forward.
