Old Central Fire Station was dedicated on May 15, 1926 and represents the point at which our department went from a volunteer organization to a fully paid, professional department. The station was considered state of the art in 1926. It stayed in use for 54 years until it closed in 1980 and until this year, our department had not been able to reenter that sacred space. This coin commemorates the beauty and history of the building and our department.
